The 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards came off in grand style at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, bringing together some of Ghana’s biggest music stars for a night filled with glamour, performances, and major wins.
Held under the theme “A Touch of Glitter,” the ceremony showcased electrifying performances from top artistes including Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Gyakie, Medikal, Wendy Shay, Kweku Smoke, MOLIY, Piesie Esther, and Diana Hamilton.
Ahead of the awards night, the TGMA Academy Board unveiled nominees across several categories in March 2026, including Artiste of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artiste. The Artiste of the Year category was particularly competitive, featuring names such as Black Sherif, Medikal, Stonebwoy, Wendy Shay, Sarkodie, and Diana Hamilton.
At the end of the night, Black Sherif emerged as the biggest winner, taking home the prestigious Artiste of the Year award. Medikal also enjoyed a successful night with multiple wins, while several other artistes were recognised for their contributions to the Ghanaian music industry.
