Veteran journalist and politician Dele Momodu has revealed that discussions are underway with the Adeleke family to resolve the ongoing custody dispute between music star Davido and Sophia Momodu.
The Ovation Magazine publisher made the disclosure amid public appeals urging him to step in and mediate the matter. Sophia Momodu, who is his niece, is currently engaged in a legal battle with Davido over custody arrangements.
The dispute recently drew heightened attention after Davido reportedly withdrew the case, following references made in court by Sophia’s legal representative concerning the circumstances surrounding the death of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
Responding to calls for his intervention, Dele Momodu stated that efforts are being made quietly to settle the disagreement amicably. He disclosed that conversations are ongoing between both families in a bid to reach a peaceful resolution.
At the time of his remarks, Momodu was in Liberia to commiserate with former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor following the death of her only child.
He expressed optimism that the matter would be resolved, urging the public to remain calm and keep the families in their prayers.
