Wutah Is ‘Dead Forever’ — Kobby Shuts Down Reunion Hopes

Fans dreaming of a Wutah comeback can finally put those hopes to rest. Wutah Kobby has declared the iconic Ghanaian duo is gone for good.

“Wutah is dead, disbanded and I don’t see any reuniting soon or ever,” he told Graphic Showbiz.

The group, made up of Kobby and Afriyie, briefly reunited in 2017 with hits like AK47 and Bronya, sparking excitement after their 2009 split. But irreconcilable differences ended the comeback almost as quickly as it began.

Now, Kobby says Wutah is “an old chapter” and his focus is firmly on his solo career. “I am enjoying it because of the freedom to create and grow on my own timeline,” he explained.

Wutah rose to fame on the Nescafé African Revelation talent show and went on to dominate Ghana’s music scene with classics like Big Dreams, Kotosa, and Adonko. Their breakup shocked fans at the height of their success.

Despite ruling out a reunion, Kobby still encourages young artistes to form groups, stressing unity and shared responsibility. But he warns that lasting success requires a shared vision.

Currently, he’s pushing his latest single One Day With You and eyeing global recognition. “It helps you grow, it helps you earn and it helps you connect,” he said.

For fans, the message is clear: Wutah’s story is over — and Kobby is writing his own.
